Love conquers all

On the night of December 28, 2008, a fire started in the quiet little village. Because the village has no electricity, the 2 children of the villager Yang Hongwen lighted some matches to wash their faces and feet and get ready to go to bed. They were careless and threw the matches into a heap or corn causing the fire. Both children were severely burned by the fire and were taken to the city hospital for emergency treatment.

Because the family of the two children is extremely poor, they could not afford the medical expenses and they were prepared to abandon the treatment of both children. Seeing these two children lives at stake, SPEDIFY, upon learning of this emergency situation, immediately extended a helping hand, delivering personally 10,000 yuan for medical expenses to the local hospital. Under the doctor's care, they were able to save the lives of the two children. The 8-year-old boy has now fully recovered and the 10-year-old girl requires further surgery due to infection in the wounds.

Again, because of their poverty, the family could not imagine they could have the opportunity to give their daughter further treatment. As desperation grew in the family, SP Edify was notified that a person full of love from Singapore would donate the full cost of the second operation. Even the hospital was moved by this gesture and agreed to waive half of the medical expenses, and successfully carried out the second and third skin grafting for the girl. Now the girl has been already discharged, her legs are been able to walk normally, and her right hand is able to hold a pen with some normality.

Love gave these two children a new life!
